Compliance & Industry Standards

At L+R Group, we prioritise adherence to the highest industry standards to ensure safe and efficient operations across all managed facilities.

Our compliance framework is supported by online incident reporting and tracking and encompasses:

  • Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Compliance: Comprehensive risk mitigation training for all staff, ensuring a safe environment for both employees and patrons in general and aquatic environments.

  • Certifications: Adherence to Australian safety and operational standards, reflecting our commitment to maintaining excellence in facility management.

  • Audit-Ready Reporting: Transparent and accessible performance data, facilitating seamless audits and fostering trust with stakeholders.

  • We promote a strong WH&S culture that puts safety at the heart of every decision people make.

  • We set employees up for success through comprehensive training and education programs; they’re prepared for full compliance with proper workplace procedures and practices.

  • Our dedication to these standards ensures that every facility under our management operates with the utmost integrity and efficiency, aligning with both regulatory requirements and community expectations.

TANDA TEAMS

We’ve streamlined Training & Compliance across our Facilities.

Our TANDA TEAMS framework ensures every employee progresses through clearly defined stages of onboarding and training, aligned with both industry standards and workplace compliance requirements. Each TEAM—such as Training & Onboarding, Kiosk, Lifeguard, Swim Teacher, and Duty Shift—includes essential qualifications, tasks, and training modules that must be completed before staff can be rostered.

This progression model guarantees that no employee can be scheduled without meeting their TEAM’s compliance benchmarks, providing strong controls and oversight. By structuring our workforce through TANDA TEAMS, we ensure every team member is equipped, qualified, and ready to deliver safe, high-quality service across our facilities.

Their facilities are purpose-designed for young swimmers, and their structured programs reflect a deep commitment to age-appropriate learning, close supervision, and proactive risk management.

Being a child-focused industry, the L+R Group is fully committed to child safety. We use the following resources and systems to ensure we are a child safe organisation:

  • Risk assessments in child safety

  • Designated child safety officer

  • Staff training and inductions in child safety areas

  • Research and resources from Kids Guardians Organisation

  • Working with children checks

  • Child safe incident reports

Central to L+R Group’s approach is a culture of vigilance and care. Instructors are not only certified in swim instruction and CPR but are also trained in child protection awareness and safe interaction protocols. Group sizes are kept intentionally small to ensure personalised attention and enhanced safety, particularly in early childhood classes. Parents and guardians are actively engaged in infant and toddler programs, reinforcing a partnership model that promotes trust and transparency. The company also maintains clear codes of conduct and reporting processes to ensure any concerns can be raised and addressed swiftly.
